EmuTribe App

Terms of Service

Effective date: May 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the EmuTribe mobile app, website, beta program, subscriptions, cloud features, support channels, and related backend services.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using EmuTribe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use EmuTribe.

If you use EmuTribe on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for them.

2. What EmuTribe Is

EmuTribe is a retro emulator app designed to let users run legally obtained game files on supported devices and manage related app features such as settings, save states, cloud sync, and optional Pro features.

EmuTribe does not include, sell, host, provide, link to, or distribute ROMs, ISOs, BIOS files, firmware files, copyrighted game files, or copyrighted console software.

You are solely responsible for obtaining and using game files, BIOS files, firmware files, artwork, metadata, and other content only where you have the legal right to do so.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use EmuTribe unless we publish a different age rule for your region or a specific product version.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your email address current so we can send important service, security, subscription, or support messages.

4. Legal Use of Games and User Content

You agree not to use EmuTribe to pirate, distribute, share, host, or obtain copyrighted games or system files illegally.

You must not upload, sync, share, or use files through EmuTribe or connected services if you do not have the rights required to do so.

EmuTribe may display console names, system names, compatibility names, or third-party marks only for identification and compatibility. EmuTribe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by console manufacturers, game publishers, or trademark owners unless expressly stated.

5. EmuTribe Pro Subscriptions

EmuTribe Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks Pro features such as cloud sync, extra save-state slots, premium video filters, advanced emulation options when available, cheats, and future Pro-only enhancements.

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchases. Store checkout screens show the current price, billing period, taxes where applicable, and renewal terms before purchase.

EmuTribe Pro currently starts with a monthly subscription plan. Additional plans such as annual or semiannual plans may be added later.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings before the renewal date. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

If you cancel, access normally continues until the end of the current paid period unless the store, law, or a refund/revocation decision provides otherwise.

Refunds, chargebacks, billing disputes, and payment method issues are handled primarily by Apple or Google according to the applicable store policies. EmuTribe may update your Pro access when the store reports a refund, revocation, cancellation, billing retry, grace period, expiration, or other subscription state.

If purchase verification fails, we may ask you to restore purchases, reconnect to the internet, or contact support. We may process store notifications and app restore requests to recover purchases that completed in the store but did not immediately sync to the backend.

6. Pro Entitlements and Offline Use

Pro access is linked to your EmuTribe account and verified through the app stores and EmuTribe backend.

The app may cache your entitlement for offline use. Cached access is temporary and may require internet access to refresh after the subscription validity period or verification window expires.

If a subscription expires, is refunded, is revoked, cannot be verified, or is linked to another account, Pro features may be disabled or require a new verification.

Some Pro features may preserve existing user data even when access ends. For example, existing save states may remain stored, but creating or using additional Pro-only slots may be restricted until Pro access is restored.

7. Cloud and Google Drive Features

If you connect Google Drive, you authorize EmuTribe to use Google Drive for selected app features such as cloud library access and save-state sync.

You are responsible for the legality and safety of files you store in Google Drive and use with EmuTribe.

EmuTribe is not responsible for loss, deletion, corruption, sync conflicts, provider outages, or access changes caused by Google Drive, your account settings, your device, connectivity, or files you manage.

You can disconnect Google Drive in the app or revoke EmuTribe access from your Google account settings.

8. Beta Features and Changes

Some EmuTribe features may be released as beta, experimental, platform-limited, or region-limited features.

We may change, pause, remove, or replace features as needed for compatibility, security, compliance, store requirements, or product direction.

We may update supported systems, emulator cores, performance settings, Pro benefits, cloud behavior, and compatibility features over time.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not misuse EmuTribe, attempt to bypass security or entitlement checks, attack or overload our systems, reverse engineer backend protocols for abuse, use another person’s account, interfere with store purchase verification, submit fraudulent purchase data, or use the service for illegal activity.

You must not use EmuTribe to infringe intellectual property rights, distribute malware, harass others, evade sanctions or legal restrictions, or violate applicable laws.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use EmuTribe.

The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. You can review it at /privacy.

11. Intellectual Property and Open-Source Components

EmuTribe branding, design, original app code, original content, visual identity, and service materials are owned by EmuTribe or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

EmuTribe may include or interact with open-source components, emulator cores, libraries, or assets that are subject to their own licenses and notices. Those licenses govern your rights to those components.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you may have under an applicable open-source license.

12. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content connected to EmuTribe infringes your copyright or other rights, contact support@emutribe.com with enough detail for us to investigate.

Because EmuTribe does not provide game files, many disputes about ROMs, ISOs, BIOS files, or game content may relate to files controlled by the user or by third-party services outside EmuTribe.

13. Disclaimers

EmuTribe is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that every game, file, device, operating system, controller, cloud provider, store service, or emulator setting will work correctly or without interruption.

We do not guarantee that save data, cloud sync, game compatibility, performance, achievements, cheats, or settings will be error-free or preserved in every situation.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmuTribe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, device issues, game compatibility issues, or legal consequences from your use of files you do not have the right to use.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to EmuTribe features if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security risk, submitted fraudulent purchase data, abused support or backend systems, or used the service unlawfully.

You may stop using EmuTribe at any time. Deleting the app does not automatically delete your account or cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google.

16. Store Terms

When you download EmuTribe from Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable store terms also apply. Store terms govern store accounts, payment processing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and some distribution matters.

If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple or Google terms for in-app purchases, the mandatory store terms control for the affected store transaction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the app, stores, legal requirements, subscriptions, or services change.

The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of EmuTribe after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
